CURRENT EVENTS!! xD SPRING BREAK! This spring break was pretty exciting. We did a lot of really cool things. We had an Easter Egg Hunt for Easter Sunday. We made dream catchers and we had a barbeque. We watched tons of movies. We got kinda bored, but it was nice not having school for a while (; By Savannah!!

But the time we spend apart makes me feel sad and blue.
The time we spend together lifts me up and makes my heart soar,
And the time we spend apart is full of closed doors.
The time we spend together is wonderful because of all the things you do,

Hello everyone, my name is Ryan, and today I would like to share my thoughts. The other day, a number of girls walking back to their unit went past the boys unit. They looked over and one waved, and as they did several of the others were staring out of the window. What I saw on our side of the window made me sad. I saw a lot of disrespect from a select few people and it made me wonder why. Why is it that there is so little respect among us? Not just people here but everywhere. Why has it become socially acceptable for men to gawk and speak out disrespectfully against women? What happened to the ideals of chivalry? Think about the girl you taunt. What if she was your daughter and someone else did the same. How would you feel? Even though she’s not your daughter, she’s someone’s. I can’t make anyone change, but I can be an example. I choose to stand for respect and honor, and I ask that for the sake of people, that you will choose to do the same.

My name is Brad and I’m going to be giving you all some advice. I’ve noticed the last two months that I’ve been here in Artec that everyone’s going to get mad. I know that being locked up and being with 7 other young Men and Women that it’s not going to be easy, but you can’t let others control your emotions! I have some peers on our unit that once one person gets inside their head they lose control of their emotions. I’ve noticed that once they lose control and that other peer has their emotion control in their hands then they do things to make you mad, to get you to react to things that they want you to do. They get under your skin and then taunt you and make you do things to see a reaction. Don’t allow others to control your emotions! Stand up for yourself and walk away if you feel like others are starting to bug or push your buttons. Take a time out for a few minutes then come back with a clear head and work the problem out. When you’re looking and seeing with red then all your going to get is negative things. Just remember if you’re in control of you then no one can make you look like a fool and make you mad. You control yourself. Make it a positive stay so you can get home to your families. Yeah I know that it’s not easy, but it can be done. I’m tired of being locked up and away from my family so I’m going to make it the best and get myself home. I’ve been gone a year and a half, time to get home to my family. Don’t do it for anyone besides yourself!!! Hope you all take in the advice and use it. I’m not just talking because I want to hear myself talk. I’m doing it because I care and because I want you all to be back at home. Think about what you really want in life and then do it. If you get mad, say this to yourselves "is it going to matter in an hour"? If it’s going to matter in an hour then don’t get mad about it. Move on. As a past peer always told me forgive and forget!! We have AA group Tuesdays, a man came into Artec we listened to his story. He had been through a lot. He wanted us to know that he felt right at home being here with us. We let him know we feel like a family. We want to let kids know if you go to a treatment center, look for one or two kids to look up to. Find good traits about that person and use what you need/like. Kids, need guidance, so look for good people. There’s a good kid with good knowledge so when someone tells you what to do, do not take it as, “Oh, he’s trying to control you.” You may not know he/she may just be helping you. Most people think, “I am the boss of my life, so someone cannot tell me what to do.” When someone says what to do take it into consideration; it’s not to be the boss it is just a helping hand. They are trying to be a friend to you. People make mistakes so just try the advice and say, “Thanks for the advice.” Cody

I like Ride Wit Me by Nelly, my sister likes it. I saw Nelly at the concert in Salt Lake City.
Nelly is very sick at singing. Movie review The best movie I think is Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2. I think that is the best movie. This movie is about 900 or so vampires. But there is 1 family called the Cullen’s that lives off of animal blood. I so wish that I were a vampire in this movie.

This girl is struggling to fit in the shell she’s made for herself.
Her thighs are too big and her brain too small.
Her skin too dry and her hair too messy.
The thread is too weak to hold it all together.
She can’t get anything symmetrical.
And she loses the needle in the mess of fabric.
The other girls stare from their hollow shell and laugh.
They watch her struggle.
She doesn’t know the music she likes, or the clothes she should wear.

She couldn’t care less about the laughing girls, or judgmental bystanders.

So the movie starts out with a young teenage girl her life is the same as any other teenage girl until she meets the mysterious Edward Cullen at first they didn’t get off to a good start because her smell was irresistible to Edward and so he disappears for a while then when he comes back they start to talk a little bit but not for long but the more they talk the more bell starts to wonder if Edward really is a human. So she goes to the local library to find more answer but as soon as she walks back trouble surrounds her from every corner but as soon as she thought all hope was lost right before her very eyes Edward appears out of plain sight but even though she cant see she feels protected and secure and decided to get in the car with him. After all of that he decided to get her dinner at this little nice restaurant and as they order Bella is carious and ask Edward how he new where she was at first to her
